CityView is growing and welcoming new team members onboard! Here’s a bit of intro on each:
Angus has 20 years of experience in software technology sales both in Canada and internationally. Previously, Angus joined Matrikon Inc. in Edmonton in 2000 and transferred to Bahrain in 2001 to establish the company’s Middle Eastern presence. After starting from scratch, he grew the business to about USD7 million annually before the company was acquired. In 2012, he transferred to Aspen Technology Inc. – also in Bahrain. He was a Senior Account Executive managing the business with Saudi Aramco and all of Aramco’s joint ventures.
Angus returned to Canada in July 2017 and chose Victoria in order to be close to friends and family – and to avoid shoveling snow! He enjoys playing golf, squash, tennis and sailing – and is an avid supporter of the local micro-breweries.
Not long after, Jason moved into a Sales role, landing at Sage/ACCPAC in Vancover, BC. As a successful Channel Manger in their mid-market ERP space, Jason managed the eastern United States in an extremely competitive vertical. When Jason moved back to Vancouver island 6 years ago, he worked for a big data start up that was recently bought by eBay; then a local logistics company before starting with CityView.
Back in her hometown of Victoria now, Rachel is pretty excited to be joining the CityView team where her old Camosun classmate, travel buddy, and all around good friend, Jen Braun is also an Implementation Specialist. Now that she’s back on the west coast, she’s finding the charms of Victoria that had escaped her notice in her youth are readily apparent: hiking East Sooke Park, gardening in the mild climate and exploring the culinary options available in Victoria’s surprisingly varied restaurant scene, for such a small city.
In particular, Tom has done a lot of work on the server side components, APIs (the way Manager “talks” to Management Server, for example), mapping, storage specifications, database aspects and a myriad of other things. His promotion facilitates and positions the R&D department for further growth.
