As a sales development representative at CityView, you'll play a pivotal role in driving our mission of delivering innovative solutions to local government agencies.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Strategic planning: Develop and execute a tactical plan for your focus market to prospect and acquire new customers.
- Relationship building: Cultivate strong relationships with existing customers while generating new opportunities by understanding their needs.
- Prospecting expertise: Leverage your product knowledge, business acumen and effective prospecting techniques to maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities.
- Cold calling mastery: Research and identify prospects, engage in cold calling and emailing, and schedule discovery calls to generate qualified opportunities.
- Collaborative approach: Work closely with regional sales managers to ensure timely and thorough follow up and support to client leads.
- Goal achievement: Meet monthly goals in accordance with the business plan, demonstrating persistence, patience and a results-oriented mindset.
- Continuous learning: Develop in-depth knowledge about CityView, the community development industry, local governments and relevant associations.

We're seeking individuals with:
- Business acumen: An understanding of business process management technology and the day-to-day challenges faced by local government employees.
- Customer service skills: Excellent customer service skills paired with exceptional listening and communication abilities.
- Sales prowess: Demonstrated planning skills aimed at growing the opportunities pipeline, resilience and a fearless attitude towards cold calling.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment, consistently meeting deadlines and adapting to evolving situations.
- Tech savviness: Proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Office Suite and Salesforce or a comparable CRM. Willingness to learn new technologies.
- Experience: 2-4 years of experience in sales, ideally within the tech space. Previous experience in B2B, SaaS, government or permit/license software sales is preferred.
