Derrick brings more than 15 years of experience in desktop, server, and network support. He also has in-depth knowledge of mobile devices and electronics, as well as experience in vendor management.
Derrick grew up in Victoria where he attended the Royal Roads University. There he completed the Oracle DBA program and received his Oracle Certified Professional designation. Upon graduating, he worked for Amador Business Computer in Edmonton. In 2004 Derrick joined the Province of BC as a desk side support analyst and was outsourced to IBM Canada when the Province outsourced it workstation services. In 2008 Derrick returned to the Province working for the Queen’s printer as the Service Manager. In 2011 he started in contract management/service management of the Province’s Workstation Support contract with IBM. In 2015 he moved to the mobile device department in the Province and was part of the team that implemented the Airwatch Mobile Device Management System for the Province.
Derrick has two sons that are 15 and 20 years old. His partner Sarah has two girls, ages 6 and 9, who keep him busy in his spare time!
