CityView is pleased to announce the Town of Cochrane, AB has gone live with the BluePrince Permitting & Inspection module as well as wireless inspections. The ability to do inspections from the field combined with an import of the Town’s property data has helped improve efficiency and automate processes for staff. What was once a manual process of getting all the property data for a permit is now automated through a nightly update into the system automatically. This saves time on data entry and eliminates data entry errors. Using a phased approach, the Town plans on expanding its use of BluePrince to take advantage of the additional modules including Code Enforcement, Planning & Zoning, and the Contractor Bundle which allows contractors and citizens to check the status of approvals, apply for and pay for permits and request inspections online.
Last year was one of the busiest years on record for Cochrane; the Town is now better positioned with BluePrince in place to effectively manage the high volume of permits and inspections that have continued to come in.
Mike Korman, Manager of Economic Development for the Town, commented on the implementation experience: “The BluePrince deployment team was invaluable during the implementation of the software. We had a great deal of requests that were handled quickly and professionally.”
Since 2002, BluePrince has helped local governments across the United States and Canada track and manage their permitting and community development activities and initiatives. With 85 customers in 25 states, BluePrince is a trusted partner in the local government community.
Cochrane is located just west of Calgary, and is the second largest town in Alberta. Being one of the fastest growing communities in Canada, Cochrane appreciated the fact that CityView was a company that can meet its needs both now and into the future.
