The City of Fort Saskatchewan, AB recently took CityView’s new CityView Portal, “shopping cart” live.
Developers, contractors and homeowners can now combine fee payments from multiple City services into a single transaction. For example, a citizen who is licensing multiple pets at the same time, or a contractor applying for several permits while renewing their business license, can add each payment to the CityView Portal “shopping cart” and pay them at the same time instead of having to do separate transactions. This lets Portal users easily see all fees on a single screen, and it means they can check out faster and move on to other tasks.
In addition, the City brings field capabilities to its inspectors with the implementation of CityView Mobile. This allows City inspectors and bylaw enforcement officers to be more productive, since they can access real-time data while onsite and submit inspection results electronically.
Fort Saskatchewan will next implement CityView Workspace, which incorporates the latest in HTML5 Browser technology from CityView.
