Carrollton Becomes the First Customer in Texas to Implement CityView
December 7, 2016; VICTORIA, BC: CityView is pleased to announce that the City of Carrollton, Texas has selected the CityView suite of solutions to replace its out-dated legacy system. Carrollton joins a growing number of local governments, and the first in Texas to streamline their operations with our CityView product. The move to modern technology with an integrated suite of modules will heighten staff efficiencies, supporting the operations of several departments by reducing paper and eliminating departmental silos.CityView will also provide the City’s customers and contractors with an effective means of communicating and transacting business remotely 24/7, without the need to visit City Hall.
In addition to the core CityView suite of modules which includes Property Information, Permits & Inspections, Code Enforcement, Planning, Business Licensing, and Rental Housing, Carrollton will take advantage of CityView Electronic Plans Review and CityView’s mobile capabilities for permits and inspections, code enforcement, rental housing, and business licensing. This will allow inspectors, code enforcement officers and other staff to perform necessary work directly from the field. Carrollton will implement the CityView Portal for residents, contractors, and business owners to perform self-service functions online, around the clock.
“As part of the City’s Managed Competition Program, outdated technology was identified as a primary impediment to maximum efficiency in our Building Inspection and Environmental Services departments,” said Leonard A. Martin, Carrollton City Manager. “The two departments have different missions, but many of their processes are similar. Replacing their technology was the only way to gain peak performance. After a lengthy evaluation of various systems, we picked CityView government solutions as a single platform that could serve the needs of both operations. We are excited to implement the system and begin the improvements in productivity.”
