The City of Milton selects CityView for Permitting & Inspections and Electronic Plan Review
We are pleased to welcome the City of Milton, GA as a CityView customer. Located in Fulton County, approximately 30 miles north of downtown Atlanta, the City of Milton is a thriving community. Established just 13 years ago, the City now has a population of approximately 38,000. In the last seven years they have seen their population grow by over 20%.The growing population, tighter budgets, and increased regulatory standards, prompted the City to look for a new community development solution. At the forefront was the need for a more efficient method of tracking, managing, reporting, recording and sharing information related to permits and related data.
The City of Milton selected CityView Select for Property Information, Permits & Inspections, Planning, and Cashiering. They will also implement the CityView Portal, CityView Mobile, and CityView Electronic Plans Review to help them manage the anticipated growth over the next decade.
CityView will help the City’s Community Development department more efficiently manage the permitting and inspection process by:
- Introducing a paperless, electronic plan review process.
- Streamlining and increasing the efficiency of the permit application and approval processes.
- Providing ongoing support for new and modified regulatory requirements.
CityView will help Milton employees better manage the process and enhance its services.

Incorporated on December 1, 2006, the City of Milton is a distinctive community that embraces small-town life and heritage while preserving and enhancing the city’s rural character.
Milton has a population of 38,000 people and covers 23,000 acres. It includes the northwest unincorporated island that is bordered by Cherokee County to the north and west; Forsyth County to the east; Roswell city limits to the southwest; Alpharetta city limits to the south.
Milton is a part of Fulton County with County Commission representation.
