The Village also implemented the CityView Portal , bringing self-service options to its 6600 residents; as well as mobile capabilities for inspectors and code enforcement officers in the field.
Islamorada is located in the beautiful Florida Keys. A tourism-oriented community approximately an hour south of Miami, it consists of four islands and is known as the sport fishing capital of the world. Islamorada is a popular vacation destination enjoyed for its up-scale small-town atmosphere, scenic bay and ocean views, sunshine, boating, fishing, locally owned restaurants, quaint shops and galleries.
Shortly after going live, the Village was evacuated due to hurricane Irma which gravely damaged much of the infrastructure. Upon their return they found their homes ripped apart and flooded by the devastating storm. Despite the huge impact to their personal lives, they have put together a recovery process in place offering services to assist the general public. The newly implemented CityView Portal is one of the key services at the disposal of the local people.
