The go-live that occurred just before COVID-19 restrictions were put in place gives the Town a leg-up on offering convenience and continued productivity for citizens and staff
The Town of Amherstburg, Ontario, located just 16 miles south of Detroit, Michigan, went live on CityView Suite back in January 2020, just before restrictions on travel were put into place to prevent the spread of coronavirus. Not only did the Town implement nearly the full suite of CityView community development solutions, but it also implemented CityView Mobile, which offers convenience to citizens and the ability to maintain productivity for staff while they work remotely.
Amherstburg is using CityView Mobile for permit applications and bylaw enforcement inspections. This allows Town inspectors to initiate and process their inspections in the field from their mobile device and automatically update the database with the results. Best of all, CityView Mobile works with or without Wifi or cellular connectivity.
“I’m very pleased that we were able to complete Amherstburg’s go-live prior to the shelter in place orders,” stated Sean Higgins, Executive Vice President of CityView. “CityView’s adaptive technology provides easy access to our solutions wherever they are and on whatever device, so that we can do our part to keep local government running.”
CityView continues to work with its customers on remote trainings in order to keep projects on track.
